Responsible for developing and executing Microsoft‘s industry solution strategy for the whole Manufacturing sector from Automotive, Industrial Equipment to Process Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Consumer Packaged Goods and Oil/Gas.
This includes a clear understanding of industry and customer requirements and their mapping to MS technologies and partner solutions. His team drives Microsoft solution readiness , partner engagement and continuous feedback to MS Corporate groups to drive Products development to meet customer requirements.
2001 – 2004, Microsoft Italia: Microsoft Italy Director Solution Group and Partner Group Enterprise Division This activities did focus on 2 key aspects: technical and sales readiness of the Microsoft Partners as well the sales orchestration between Partners and all Microsoft resources focused on Enterprise Solution space.
1996- 2001, Microsoft EMEA: Responsible for the Industry Marketing Manufacturing Market across EMEA region.
Prior to this experience he did work for 7 years in Digital Equipment Corporation developing and marketing manufacturing solutions in Corporate and European positions. Before that he did work for Olivetti in Ivrea. During the 11 years at Olivetti Corportate HQ Lorenzo spent 3 years in US ( Cupertino, CA and Chicago) developing several flavors of UNIX at Berkeley University and Bell Labs.
He studied at Turing University. He holds a major in Computer Science.
