Further advancing the adoption of 10 Gigabit Ethernet, Alcatel-Lucent has extended its lifetime hardware warranty for its OmniSwitch 6000 family of products serving the edge to the core by adding the recently introduced OmniSwitch 6900 Stackable LAN Switch. With this announcement, Alcatel-Lucent now provides an industry-leading lifetime hardware warranty across all members of its OmniSwitch 6000 family of products, including the OmniSwitch 6900 which delivers up to 64 10GigE SFP+ ports and is upgradeable to 40GigE.
The OmniSwitch 6900 is ideal to help businesses struggling with the “core challenge” to support today’s application and device-heavy network environments, or those trying to meet requirements for 10GigE server connectivity as a top of rack switch in the data center.
The OmniSwitch 6000 family solutions are part of Alcatel-Lucent’s Application Fluent Network approach to enable a high-quality end-user experience for delivery of real-time applications along with reduced complexity for IT and network managers.

· The lifetime hardware support policy is available for all business partner purchases for existing and new customers in EMEA, APAC and CALA regions
